Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Olive Local. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Accounts

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, let us know right away at hello@olivelocal.com. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Business listings

Olive Local is a business directory. Listings may be created from publicly available information (including Google Places data) or submitted directly by business owners. If you claim or create a listing, you represent that you’re authorized to act on behalf of that business and that the information you provide is accurate.

We reserve the right to edit, remove, or refuse any listing that violates these terms or that we determine to be fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate.

Acceptable use

Use Olive Local in good faith. Don’t submit false or misleading business information, impersonate another person or business, scrape or automatically collect data without written permission, send spam, attempt to disrupt the site, or use the platform for anything unlawful.

Paid services and billing

Olive Local offers free listings and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

Cancellation. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.

Pricing. We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Founding rate subscribers keep their rate as long as their subscription stays active and in good standing.

Refunds. Handled case by case — email hello@olivelocal.com for any billing questions.

Intellectual property

The Olive Local name, logo, design, and original content (including AI-generated descriptions and website templates) belong to us. Don’t copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.

You keep ownership of everything you submit — photos, descriptions, business information. By posting it on Olive Local, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use that content to operate the platform.

AI-generated content

Olive Local uses AI to generate business descriptions, website content, and other materials. This content is a starting point — it may need review or editing. You’re responsible for approving anything published under your business listing, and we don’t guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Disclaimers and liability

Olive Local is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uptime, accuracy of listing data (including third-party sources), or error-free operation. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Olive Local and its owner, operators, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim won’t exceed what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

General

Termination. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms. If that happens, your right to use the platform ends immediately. Sections that should survive (intellectual property, liability, etc.) remain in effect.

Governing law. These terms are governed by California law. Any disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts in Sonoma County, California.

Changes. We may update these terms as the product evolves. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
